Periplus Workshops 2024

In the summer of 2024, I had the immense privilege of returning to Greece to support and take part in a new season of creative workshops led by The Periplus Project. The workshops were held in a postmodern home in Alikianos, a small village on the island of Crete. There were two sessions and two unique cohorts of designers, both following the theme of “revealing matter’s potential”.

The overarching intention was to develop processes and prototypes that responded directly to local byproduct materials. Participants were encouraged to explore accessible, innovative approaches and methods that could be easily understood, adapted, and expanded upon by community members.
